Community-Minded

I know it’s been a little while, but I’m excited to be here and wanted to catch you guys up on what we’ve been up to. We have been busy these last 3 weeks getting our team ready for our first ever tournament as Formula Elite Academy. While we didn’t walk away with the championship, we surely walked away stronger, tougher, and better. To say I am proud of the growth and development of this team is an understatement. That being said, I am proud to announce that, along with getting our boys prepped on the court, we have been gearing up for efforts off the court.

June 19th will serve as our first FEA COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY! We have chosen MUST Ministries, an organization that supports our neighbors that are currently experiencing homelessness. I know first hand and all too well, the battles that come with this, so it is a cause near and dear to my heart. I know what it’s like to feel alone, abandoned, and hopeless. It is by the grace of God that I am able to be in the position to witness and do my part to help those in need.

Just as every member of a sports team needs help and support in order to become stronger, that same philosophy is true in life. Yes, your community is a part of your team~ of life! We’ve made community service a requirement for our organization with the understanding that helping others helps us all feel better, and do better.

The major focus of FEA is not only the development in the sport, but the development in our hearts to find the strength to fight for better, in all aspects of life. We believe that it’s essential our young men grow up to understand that they are pillars of hope for others in their community. We encourage you to help these young men continue to reach their full potential to not just become better players, but even better humans. Faith, effort and action is a lifestyle. We need all three attributes to grow.
